Gate.

Description: Patent for a new and improved gate. This design consists in "the sill-beams, grooved . . . the trip-bars secured in said grooves and pivotally supported at one end, and connections between the opposite ends of the trip-bars and the gate" (lines 83-87).

Gate Hinge.

Description: Patent for a new and improved gate. This design consists of "the post or base section, having a perforated plate, the edges of which are bent up and formed with flanges and notches, and provided with the plate connected with the body of plate and separated . . . from the portions thereof, the gate-section having a depending arm, fitted to enter the perforation in the base, and having a second arm fitted for connection with the gate, and the roller, journaled on second said arm" (lines 90-99).
