Description: Patent for a new combination oil lamp and reflector. This design "has for its object the production of a lamp and a reflector adapted the one to the other, and in such points of construction as shall contribute to the effectiveness of both, in that no part of the former obstructs the rays of light reflected by the other, and both shall be of simple and cheap construction; and [it] consists in certain devices and combinations of devices" (lines 20-28).

Description: Patent for a new and improved lantern. This design "has relation to that class of lamp in which the reflector is secured to the lamp, having an aperture in its upper portion for the passage of the chimney of the lamp, and in which the reflector may be adjusted to throw the light from the lamp in different directions without moving the lamp; and it consists in the improved construction and combination of parts of the same" (lines 23-31).

Description: Patent for a new and improved reflector holder for lamps. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with a lamp and a lamp-collar, provided with a circumferential flange, of a reflector provided with a keeper, spring-clasp, springing around said collar under the flange at its lower end, and having its free ends bent angularly at their upper ends and secured in said keeper by their tension and slide" (lines 2-9).
