[Harriss Gym]

Description: Photograph of the Harriss Gym exterior. Trees stand in front of the building, and power lines can be seen above it. Harriss Gymnasium, 1923-1956. This structure was used as a temporary administration building in 1923. It then became the women’s gymnasium. It was also used for dances, pep rallies, as well as men’s basketball games. It was unofficially named after the first woman to join the athletic faculty, Buelah Harriss.
