The background of the check has a yellow seal in the center for the U.S. Internal Revenue and the text "Documentary Stamp" around the number 2 on either side of the seal. The back of the check is endorsed by Sayles & McAlpine and stamped by the First National Bank, The Galveston National Bank, the Fort Worth National Bank, and W. L. Moody & Co.
