Improvement in Valve-Gear for Steam-Engines.

Description: Patent for "an improvement in steam-engines which shall be so constructed as to give a full application of the steam and a free exhaust at regular intervals, which will enable the engine to be easily reversed, can be easily attached to any engine, which will enable an engine to be worked by water-pressure, will run smoothly and with very little friction, and will be very durable." Improvement in Cotton-Presses.

Description: Patent for an improved cotton press: "Our invention consists of a contrivance for driving the screw, which works the follower by a worm when doing the work, and a toothed wheel when returning the follower; also, of a removable case which receives the pressed bale and carries it away on a truck to be tied, while another box takes its place to receive the next bale" (lines 8-15). Direction-Indicator.

Description: Patent for a new useful improved direction-indication that will allow an operator of an automobile to indicate to traffic in front and rear the direction in which the operator will make it's turn. The indicator will also indicate when a stop is contemplated.
