[Damaged storage tanks after the 1947 Texas City Disaster]

Description: A damaged round storage tank stands surrounded by water behind a damaged barbed wire fence. Three other storage tanks are visible in the background. Compression damage is evident on all tanks, with sides and tops crushed and dented. One storage tank in the background is completely missing its top, and part of one side is crushed down to ground level.

Huge clouds of thick dark smoke and smaller clouds of white smoke blow left to right.
