Description: Letter from Harry H. Levy to I. H. Kempner responding to Kempner's letter of February 11th, addressed to Mr. E. J. Pennington, with a copy sent to Levy as a member of the Medical College Committee. He suggests that the proposed campaign might be better timed, noting that a fundraising drive for $200,000 for the Student Union Building at the Medical School is about to begin. He recommends focusing on this effort before considering the new campaign.

[Letter from I. H. Kempner to John B. Truslow, December 1957]

Description: Letter from I. H. Kempner to John B. Truslow concerning a pledge of $15,000 to the Building Fund for a Student Union Building on the campus. The letter regrets that the conditions of the Kempner Fund make it unwise and impractical to extend the pledge's conditional proviso for an additional two years. He acknowledges that the building merits consideration if adequate funds become available to erect and maintain it.
