Dear Bill and Jack:
I am writing to indicate to you the Hurst-Euless-Bedford
Independent School District's commitments to the North Texas
Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. First of all, the
Associate Director/Site Coordinator for the HEB ISD, Ms. Jan
Schronk, will contribute at least    % of her time during the
1992 calendar year to activities related to the staff development
and implementation efforts of a discipline-based art education
program related to the North Texas Institute. In addition, 11
art specialist teachers will devote a substantial amount of time
toward the DBAE program. Based upon current salaries and the
current benefit program of the school district, this amounts to
$           as detailed on the attached worksheet.
The District will also contribute 50% toward the stipends
for district participants in the 1992 Summer Institute. Based
upon the involvement of 10 teams, this will be $8,100.
Finally, the District will provide at least one of the four
state-adopted textbooks in the visual arts for use by the teams
from each of the schools.
