Day dress of black and white silk jacquard in a houndstooth check and spiral.

Physical Description

Notes

Round neckline with wide ruffle hanging down. Scarf is attached at back and tied in front. Shirtwaist style dress bodice is gathered into neckband. Front bodice is plain. Full-length sleeves are gathered at shoulder and fitted with a zipper at cuff. Left side is open above and below waist to facilitate dressing; has snap closures. Self-belt tied at waist. Skirt has 15 1/4 inch wide flounce at hem. Back has 8 1/4 inch slit extending downward from neckband. Back mirrors front. Inside of skirt is lined in black organdy with deep hem of silk fabric. Inside waist has grosgrain ribbon petersham which hooks on left side.
