Description

Photograph of Willacy County Courthouse in Raymondville, TX. A green and yellow lawn fills the foreground of the photo while a sidewalk emerges from the photo's bottom left corner and leads to one side of the courthouse. The trees occupying the lawn have trunks seemingly painted white for a few feet of the trees' heights. The courthouse itself has a flat roof and is made of dark red bricks and is accented with white stone, sitting on the lawn with its longest side facing towards the left edge of the photo. An entrance in the form of a tall white arch is positioned in the center of the longer side of the building and has four columns rising across all three of the building's floor to support a rectangular pediment projecting out from the wall a short distance. The building has on both of its visible sides, a row of small windows along its bottom edge and three rows of taller windows across the remainder of the structure's width. White stone lines the bottom edge of the building and forms lines around the building, one running at the same height as the columns' bases while the other is positioned at the same height as the top of the white archway. Each tall window also has a block of white stone above it. At the top edge of the building, above the height of the columns, a white line with small rectangles regularly placed throughout it as decoration wraps around the perimeter of the courthouse. On the shorter side of the building is a single white door with a short set of stairs leading up to it.
