~dhow to do it right?!! Masturbation, as it is
known in the more polite circles, has always
been, and still is, an extremely popular ac-
tivity. It can be done alone, with a friend, or
in certain party situations. And it's safe! Talk-
ing dirty is a major turn on when j off
and a good set of hot fantasies is also helpful.
If you don't have a good set of fantasies, don't
worry. You'll think of something. Be Creative.
Also remember: coming on another person is
all right but avoid the eyes and the mouth.RE(:OLMEN DAT I ONS
Proper use of condoms (rubbers) for anal intercourse
will protect against the spread of syphilis, gonorrhea,
and probably herpes, chilamyd - hepatitis B, proctitis,
and non-gonococcal urethritis. Good quality condoms
should be used to prevent condom failure.
Rimming and other types of oral/anal/fecal contact
increase the chances of getting hepatitis A or B,
intestinal parasites, or bowel infections. Rimming
should be avoided except with monagamous partners.
Saliva as a lubricant may introduce infections into
the rectum.
Washing the genitals and anus with soap and water
before and after sex may decrease the risk of getting
or spreading infections.
Rectal douching or inserting soap or any solution
into the urethra or anus is not recommended.
Routine self examinations for signs of infection
(sores, rashes, discharge, warts) can lead to early
diagnosis and treatment.
Routine confidential testing for STDs (sexually
transmitted diseases) is important for all sexually
active people, even if you have no symptoms.
Every month or two for people who have:
* ten or more partners per month
* frequent one-time and/or anonymous contacts
* frequent receptive rectal sex, rimming (oral/
anal contact) or scat (eating feces)
Every three to four months for persons:
* with occasional anonymous partners and/or
bath house contacts
* engaging in receptive rectal sex, rimming, or
scat
Twice a year and as needed:
* if you know/suspect that your only partner
is having sex with others
* when you have a new/different steady partner
Immediately: if you think you have symptoms
Exchange names, phone numbers and/or Post Office boxes
with all partners to help facilitate confidential
contact in case of infection.'e e '.
