Notes

Text: "June 4. Dear Dave, Howdy: I suppose I owe you an explanation. Sometime ago you stated via telephone, that I would recieve [sic] a package. I never recieved [sic] it. Maybe it was lost in the mail. Thanks anyway. I'm not complaining but I've had a rough winter. In Oct, the Docs took my gall bladder out and I had to stay in my house for 3 weeks. Shortly thereafter I got the flu and stayed cooped up for another 2 weeks. Then my oldest sister passed away then my son-in-law died and then Norma died and now I have arthritis in my right knee and besides all that I have a hardon and I'm hungry. I was telling my tale of woe to [...] (one of the old hens loafing at the Senior center) and she said, well! I know where can get a sandwich for you but what do you, meaning me, plan to do about that other problem? I had it on the tip of my tongue to suggest that she cooperate and help me take care of that situation also but I didn't say it. She might have said yes and that would have put me in a heck of a fix. Hope you are doing fine. As Ever Eurasmus B (no, not really) Black - Read it out loud. Oley."
