In the front a young boy is sitting on the ground next to two plants holding a snare drum and on the right there is a bass drum with the words "Banda... de Brownsville" on it. Behind the men a porch is visible with several chairs and music stands on it in front of a brick building with several doors and windows. A handwritten text on the front of the photograph reads "Ebony Band W.O.W. Brownsville Texas Jun. 4/1911. Morales."
