Photo-postcard of the northeast corner of the Harrison County Courthouse square in Marshall, Texas, ca. 1952. Recknagel Drug Store is in the left foreground and the trees next to the courthouse are on the right. The courthouse is not visible. Hotel Marshall is visible, as well as Home Furniture Co. and Kariel Clo. Co. on the east side of the square, and electric fans are visible in a few of their second floor windows. The street and most of the parking spaces are empty. A street light is on the corner as well as a telephone pole and wires. At the bottom of the image is the title "Scene on North Square - Marshall, Texas." The code 6-J-16 is on the lower right. The postmark on the back is Wascom, Texas, Dec 12, 1952. The card is addressed to Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Fleming, Woodbine, Maryland. The format, quality, and number code are almost identical to another card in this collection with the publisher's name W. M. Cline Co., Chattanooga, printed on it, and this card was probably produced by the same company.
