Trygve Lie stands to Adm. Nimitz's right in a dark double breasted suit jacket, a white undershirt and a striped tie.

Printed on reverse: "NR&L(MOD) 32397, Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, U.S. War-Time Commander-in-Chief of the Pacific Fleet, who has just been appointed Plebiscite Administrator for Jammu-Kashmir, points out on a world map, in the office of the U.N. Secretary-General Trygve Lie, the area which will be the first to hold a free and impartial Plebiscite under U.N. Auspices. The purpose of the vote is to determine whether the princely state of Jammu-Kashmir should join India or Pakistan. Looking on is Mr. Lie. Lake Sucess, New York, 28 March 1949.
