The Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum opened in 1933 to showcase the artifacts, art, and archives that document the history and culture of the Texas Panhandle and surrounding plains regions. The Museum is located at the West Texas A&M University campus in Canyon.

Kay Shuey Palm Photographs
The Kay Shuey Palm photograph collection consists of black-and-white negatives of people, places and events associated with the Armstrong County, Texas resident and her family and friends. They depict a range of farming and ranching activities, community events, family events, and other scenes in a rural west Texas community. Also included are vacation images recorded outside of Texas. Kay Shuey Palm (1885-1946) was born in Missouri and moved to the Texas Panhandle with her family in the early 1900s.
