Text: "Wednesday morn. My Precious - Please don't feel that way about it. You know that I love you, I do love you, and I am sorry if I didn't seem just overjoyed to see you, because I certainly was -- as I believe any of the boys here at the house can testify. Sweetheart, you might not to talk that way, even think that way, and I'm sure I wanted to go to Houston more than anything. I'll admit exams time is not the most ideal time to entertain or be entertaining but I did enjoy your visit very much and am so glad you came down. O[...]se you're just imagining. I am glad you talked to mother, I started to ask you to phone her, but thought you might not care to. Came out pretty fair in the exam today I believe. The seniors had their last exam this morning and if they aren't having a time now - lit to the gills and tearing up the house! And I'd declare to you, althought I wouldn't do it, I can't blame them at all, because the strain of exams is something awful, and to know that they don't ever have to take any more. Gosh, I'll be glad enough when the first bunch is over! Almost enough to go on a spree myself! One more practical tomorrow morning under the Old Lady and then 2er written Monday and Monday noon Fish and I set out!!!! Then what!! who? You. There goes that dinner bell! I love you, sweetheart. Your own, Felix."
