main hospitalized in San Antonio
as of Tuesday. June 23. after suffer-
ing severe burns due to an explo-
sion of a natural gas irrigation en-
gine at the Brown and Wilmoth

opening the meat market in Pears-
all was because he wanted to get
back into the retail business
"Besides." Prewitt said, "we like
Pearsall We like the area."
The meat market will carry a
full-line of pork. beef. chicken and
cold cuts as well as market-made
sausages, including Polishand Ital-
ian.
"We will also sell BBQ plates to
eat inside the market as well as
BBQ plates to go," Prewitt said
Market used to be. The market will open for
business on Wednesday, July 1 at 10:00 a.m.

The La Salle County Detention
Facility is being prepared to open
about July 7th according to Major
Rudy Sanchez, second-in-com-
mand at the Dolph Briscoe Unit in
Dilley
Located on highway 624 east of

anda 17-year-old man identified as
Johnny Muriel, of Cotulla
"After obtaining statements
from Muriel and the juvenile," the
deputy continued "vve (La Salle
deputies) were able to arrest eight
others and recover even more sto-
len property "
Muriel was charged with one
count of burglary of a building,
with further charges of burglary
still pending
As of Tuesday, June 23, Muriel
remained in custody in county jail
in lieu of $5,000 bond
Also arrested on one count of
burglary of a building were Merced
Charo ill 18. his brother Jesse
Charo, 20. Luciano De Leon, 18;

deputies arrested ten people rang-
ing in ages from 14 to 26 and
recovered nearly $10,000 in stolen
property between late Friday . June
19 and early Saturday. June 20
La Salle County Juvenile Offi-
cer Dary l Buford said some of the
first merchandice recovered in-
cluded tents and empty camera
cases, which was located on prop
erty on FM 3408
"This stolen property led us to a
house on Tilden Street." Deputy
Buford said "There we recovered a
.22 revolver, a VCR and a radar
detector."
Buford said further investiga-
