In a brief letter, dated July 30, 1898, Moore discusses the family's milk cow "Old Cora," details community news, and notes that Linnet has received catalogs from Oak Cliff and Fort Worth. He tells her that he would like her to go to school this coming session, but he feels that their excursion to Colorado would provide her with more experience than attending a session. He details some places they will visit on their trip.
