On the picture showing the interior of the building, (p.4)
one can see the antiquity of the church. Each bench
throughout the church was numbered and little plaques behind
each bench had the names of the people who were to
sit in those benches on Sunday services. The two side
walls where the crucifix and the Virgin Mary are, were
torn down and in their place corifessionaries were placed
on each side of the church. The ceiling as well as the altar
was completely remodeled with a new roofing. New light
fixtures were also placed. The floor was also installed
with new linoleum. The church was made longer in length by
making the altar square instead of dome shaped. The two
men in the medallions above, represent two Saints, St.
Francis Xavier, and St. Ignatius Loyola. These were placed
by the Jesuit Fathers. They were Fr. Juan Izaguirre, and
Fr, Miguel Amaya,3 In the picture which follows a clearer
