1 photograph : b&w ; 7 x 13 cm., in frame 11 x 23 cm.

Notes

Per the partner from the age of the youngest child one can tell this portrait was taken in late 1894, or early 1895. In October 1895 Martha gave birth to their last child, Frank Brownfield, who is not in this portrait and was born 2.5 years after the youngest child in this portrait. The family moved from Jackson County, Alabama to the Murphy, Texas area in 1879. In 1885 they moved a short distance away to Celeste, Texas, which is where this picture was taken. Martha's brother, Milton Meredith Matlock, stayed in Murphy, Texas and kept this picture of his sister and her family.
