Apollo 11 Command Pilot Neil Armstrong -- scheduled
to be the first man to set foot on the moon -- spent
5 minutes flying a Lunar landing training vehicle
at Ellington Air Force Base today.

absolutely essential, but are "very desirable."
Armstrong had to bail out of a similar trainer
in May of last year when he lost attitude control.
The NASA spokesman said the problem has long sincebeen corrected.
