the 1964 Alaskan quake hit the last island in the
near Japan
Kurile chain about 6)30 Fort Worth time tonight.
The quake measured 8-poknt-3 on the Richter scale of
ten. X1f Tbdal waves ranging from 13 'to 17 feet
have been reported.

There were other earthquakes today. One rocked
Tokyo and Central Japan. XTXXXM wo others hit
Central Italy-,--four persons were injured.
In Milwaukee, Wisconsin---a sudden windstorm
knocked down two tents at the Wisconsin State Fair.
More than two-thousand people were inside at the
time---nearly 150 of them were treated at hospitals
