Jack was introduced by Michael Doughman, the announcer for the evening, who also spoke about the early history of the Pride Parade in Dallas and the funding group, the Dallas Tavern Guild, and it's Executive Director Alan Ross. She worked with and continues to work with Caven Enterprises and also served for a time as the first female President of the Dallas Tavern Guild. Kathy Jack is married to Susie Buck.

Notes

Alan Ross passed in 1995 due to AIDS and the parade was renamed the Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade by the Guild in 1996. Paul Lewis passed in 2014 and was one of the well known faces of the event. The parade in 2015 was dedicated to Lewis.

Outrageous Oral is a quarterly evening of GLBT storytelling hosted by The Dallas Way, a GLBT history organization. Outrageous Oral: Volume 17 was held on Thursday, September 17, 2015, in the Rose Room at S4 in Dallas, Texas.
