Dr. Harold Eibling, President of the American Association of School
Administrators said in Dallas today that Education has not been as meaningful
as it should be to the boy or girl who has little ambition for higher education.
In an interview with WBAP REPORTER Lowell Duncan, Dr. Eibling said
we have been too highly involved in concentrating on the academic program in
preparing young people for college and higher education and we have
not given as much attention as we should to the 50'7 or more of our population
who go directly from high school into some job.
Dr. Eibling, who is superintendent of schools in Columbus, Ohio, is in
Dallas to look over the site for.the 1974 conventionnof the administratorsassociation.
