Despite a fatal crash Wednesday and the outcries of opponents, funds
for the Fort Worth built F-111 are still included in a defense department
approations bill passed by the house. It now goes to the Senate.
Leading the attack on the plane was Rep. William Minshall of Ohio,
but his amendment failed on a 28 to 89 non-record vote. He claimed
Wednesday's crash of and F-111 near Fort Worth proved thenplane was unsafe.
