OF BOMBS ON A NORTH VIETNAMESE SUPPLY LINE WHICH EXTENDS FROM
LAOS INTO THE A SHAU VALLEY IN SOUTH VIETNAM. ANOTHER 20 B-52S
SENT 600 TONS OF EXPLOSIVES INTO NORTH VIETNAMESE TROOP CONCENTRATIONS
AND CAMPS IN THE MEKONG DELTA ALONG THE CAMBODIAN BORDER.
MEANWHILE, TWO MORE U-S HELICOPTERS WERE REPORTED LOST. ONE
WAS SHOT DOWN IN SOUTH VIETNAM'S CENTRAL HIGHLANDS AND THE OTHER
CRASHED AFTER DEVELOPING ENGINE TROUBLE NEAR CAM RANH CKAHM RAHNG)
BAY. ONE AMERICAN DIED IN THE CHOPPER LOSSES.
THE U-S COMMAND REPORTED 12 ENEMY ROCKET AND MORTAR ATTACKS BETWEEN
YESTERDAY MORNING AND THIS MORNING. THE ATTACKS KILLED FIVE VIETNAMESE
AND WOUNDED SIX (CORRECT) AMERICANS.

(VIENTIANE)--SOURCES IN LAOS SAY THEY BELIEVE NORTH VIETNAMESE
TROOPS PLAN TO ATTACK A MAIN ROAD JUNCTION IN AN EFFORT TO CUT
OFF THE ROYAL CAPITAL OF LUANG PRABANG (LOO-AHNG' PRAH-BAHNG')
FROM VIENTIANE. THEY SAY ABOUT 200 NORTH VIETNAMESE HAVE BEEN
SPOTTED BETWEEN THE JUNCTION AND THE COMMUNIST HELD AIRSTRIP AT
UONG SOUI (MU-AWNG' SWEE).
VIENTIANE IS THE ADMINISTRATIVE CAPITAL OF LAOS AND IS ABOUT
140 MILES SOUTH OF LUANG PRABANG.
THE LAOTIAN PnEMIER, PRINCE SOUVANNA PHOUMA (SO0-VAH'-NA F00'-MAH)
HAS APPEALED TO BRITAIN AND THE SOVIET UNION TO RECONVENE THE
14-MEMBER GENEVA CONFERENCE ON LAOS. THE PRINCE PROTESTED THE
NORTH VIETNAMESE OFFENSIVE IN HIS NATION.
