temporarily halt the nation's f&rst coast-to-coast deep-
water shipping strike.The announcement was rnmde after reports

ports..tying up all shipping except military cargoes.In
Texas..the only pickets reported..were at Beaumont..where
five locals went along with the national office.All other Gulf

loading and un-loading had been completed in anticipation ofthe walkout.
