the Co urnication Workers of America July I4th.The announcement
was made at the close of the Union's convention in Kansas City
where C--W..A President Joseph Beirne told cheering delegates
that the strike would begin at 6 a.m. July I4th..unless the
Bell Telephone -System came up with an acceptable contract offerb fore th' t cedline.
