Chief Jailer Carl Rowland will appear before
U..S District Judge Satm Sarah T. Hughes.
Yesterday Judge Hughes ordered the hearing So
can explain why they should not be
held in contempt of court for placing a prisoner
in solitary confinement in violation of her
previous order concerning ref orm of jail
operations.
After an out-of-towr: trip Jones was back in
his office this morning and told WB3AP Newsman
James Kerr he would be 4shsew in court at the
appointed time.
District Attorney Henry said the problem ex
over jail conditions arises from 1957 state law
which impose the requirements ordered by JudgeHughes on Monday.
