Dr. Eva Jessye was the Original 1935 Broadway Choral Director of George Gershwin's
"Porgy and Bess" and her Eva Jessye Choir sang at the 1963 Historic March on
Washington. She has been called the "Mother of Spirituals". Three Eva Jessye
