TEXAS SOCIETY CHILDREN OF THE AMERICAN
REVOLUTION
The Texas Society is pleased to announce the re-organization of
the Martha Jefferson Society in Wichita Falls. The Martha Jefferson
Society was one of the first societies organized in Texas, and it is
exciting to see them active once again. We would like to issue a
special thank you to SAR Mr. Ken McNeely for taking on the project
of re-organizing the Martha Jefferson Society. I encourage more SAR
members to become active in organizing and re-organizing C.A.R.
societies, especially in the towns of Paris, Longview, Lubbock,
Sherman, Abilene and Plano where there are no societies.
At the 74th Annual State Conference on March 30-April 1, 2001
the Texas Society is honored to have the National President, Rian
Sweeney and Senior National President, Mrs. Gilbert Johnston as
our guests. A special treat will be Mr. Gary Brown, author of the
book, The New Orleans Greys, who will speak at our luncheon.
On behalf of the Texas Society, C.A.R., I would like to thank the
SAR for their continued support through financial donations and
senior leadership. It is vital to our organization that we continue to
have the leadership of SAR members. Their guidance is invaluable
to the future generation of patriots.
