Notes

Series description from donor: "Photos and one video documenting Katy Allred's personal experience of the COVID-19 pandemic while living in Houston, Texas, and attending graduate school online at the University of North Texas working toward a Master's in Library Science. I began the graduate program in the fall of 2019 and will tentatively graduate in the summer of 2021, so most of my graduate school experience has been during this pandemic. The photos and video span dates from January 1, 2020 to March 10, 2021."

Item description from donor: "One Second A Day video made by Katy Allred with a one-second video clip of every day from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. I used the One Second A Day app to create this video, which mashes up 1-second video clips into one file. I had never made one of these before, and had no way of knowing I'd be documenting a year in which we experienced a global pandemic. The clips are all filmed by me, Katy Allred, from my perspective. The clips were mostly filmed in Houston, TX, with some filmed in Denton, TX, Bossier City, LA, Benton, LA, Orlando, FL, and Lake Charles, LA. Most of our family lives in Louisiana and we maintained a pretty strict lockdown, so I spent the majority of last year with only my wife, Emily Kitchens, and our two cats, Carol and Katniss."
