A.J Underwood was a member of the Union Army as a sharpshooter who served under the 2nd Minnesota Sharpshooter Company organized in Saint Paul. He was present and accounted in this item the notable battles of Antietam [September 16-17, 1862] and Fredricksburg [December 12-15, 1862].
