Video recording from The Black Academy of Arts and Letters recorded during the Dress Performance Theatre series of "Just As I Am," featuring vocalist Florence LaRue held on April 26th, 2013 at the Clarence Muse Café Theatre. The footage shows the story told through song of LaRue's childhood experience growing up in the predominantly white town of Glenside Pennsylvania. The play highlights family strife and the effect of colorism in both the black and white communities.
