Farms in a 1969 automobile accident.
Mrs. Williams claimed that the steering coupling
of her 1963 Chevrolet was not designed properly,
resulting in her losing control of her car which
crashed into a guard railing.
An auto mechanic testified that the lock ring, a
safety device to keep the coupling together, was missi
and also that a thrust clamp was loose.
General Motors contended such mechanical failureswere due to ordinary 'ear and usage..
