BLOXOM: LOWER LEFTagainst Dallas-Fort Worth Airport seeking (M) $5-
million-dollars in damages they claimed were sustained
through improper work schedules and contract changes
made by the airport board.
The petitions were filed in federal court in
Dallas by Guy James Construction Company and Howard
Electric Company.
The firms said they were forced to pay what
they called "astronomical" labor and equipment
rental costs last September.:
The plaintiffs charged that the airport board
became "obsessed" with having a gala opening ball
that month and wanted the airport to look completed
even when it wasn't~DFW opened five months later.
