Call 357-1660 forLGPC is...
...the center of lesbian/gay political
activity in Dallas. The primary purpose
of LGPC is to protect and advance the
civil rights of gay men and lesbians in
all aspects of their lives. We do this
through education of the general public
and the lesbian and gay community. We
register and educate voters, endorse and
support candidates, and lobby for
legislation at all levels of government.
The activities of LGPC and its Political
Action Committee (LP-PAC) are
conducted in a bipartisan manner and in
coordination with other organizations
with similar goals.HOW ENDORSEMENTS WERE
MADE:
No endorsement was made without a SIGNED
REQUEST for endorsement and a written response
to the LG-PAC questionnaire. Each candidate was
endorsed by a vote of the membership of LG-PAC
after a careful screening process examined the
candidate'serecord and position on gay and
lesbian issues. The endorsement specifically
required an explicit commitment to the civil rights
of gay men and lesbians.
