Lea DeLaria is not "the girl next door." In fact, she's not even allowed in the neighborhood. As an
Emmy Award-winning stand-up comic, Lea gained worldwide attention as the first openly gay comic
to appear on National television on THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW and as host of Comedy Central's
first all gay special OUT THERE. She has been featured in Rolling Stone, Time, Newsweek,
Entertainment Weekly, Curve and Variety magazines; as well as numerous television shows
including ABC's DAY ONE, CNN's SHOWBIZ TODAY, E's COMEDY AT THE IMPROVE, Comedy
Central's POLITICALLY INCORRECT, Showtime's COMEDY AT THE DANGER ZONE and more.
She can be seen in recurring roles on THE JOHN LARROQUETTE SHOW and MATLOCK, and she
has had guest roles on FRIENDS, SAVED BY THE BELL and Tom Clancy's OP CENTER, the NBC mini-series. She can
currently be seen in the motion picture, FIRST WIVES CLUB.
