FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Team Dallas Basketball is now practicing weekly at the Centrum Sports Club,
at 3102 Oaklawn Ave. According to Team Dallas organizers, the Basketball
team began practicing there last week and expect to continue up to the games
in June. The team practices every Friday evening.
The team is looking for additional talent to represent Dallas in basketball
at the Gay Games to be held in New York City June 18 to 25. Team Dallas
spokesperson Jeff said "We have the talent to be very competitive in New
York City this year and thanks to Centrum Sports Club we have the place to
practice". Additional players are most welcome but must call Jeff at
214-330-6523, before coming to the Friday night practice in order to be
listed for admission to the club.
Team Dallas is the organizing group for all sports teams and individuals
from the-metroplex and beyond who are planning to participate in the 1994
New York Games. The Centrum Sports Club has agreed to be a sponsor of the
basketball team by furnishing the practice space without charge.END
