The Gold Headed Cane Award, for the county's most respected doctor, and won by Dr. Sim Hulsey at the Rivercrest Country Club; and 2. the Aesthetics Award, presented by the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, presented to Mrs. J. Lee Johnson III at the Ridglea Country Club, for being the layman who has made the greatest contribution in creating an atmosphere in which good design is possible.
The Special Collections Department collects and preserves rare and unique materials including rare books, oral histories, university archives, historical manuscripts, maps, microfilm, photographs, art and artifacts. The department is located in UNT's Willis Library in the fourth floor Reading Room.
