The weatherman is dropping broad hints that ill winds
may be blowing our way before long. But this day,
at least, was balmy and dry, and proved an ideal
launching platform for A this year's Southwestern
Exposition and Fat Stock Show. It was the typical
picture of horses and bands, floats and crowds.
The leadoff musical group is the Horned Frog Bandof Texas Christian University.

a strike of riding clubs, * some of whose members
thought they were not getting fair enough treatment.
But most of the regulars were back, along with somenew ones -- 51 riding clubs in all.
