In these days of instant everything, Revis Henry has
bucked the trend by building his own airplane. And what
- a plane. Except for the engine, it's an exact model of
(BLEHR-ee-oh)
the 1909 Bleriot, which carried Frenchman Louis Bleriot
across the English channel. Henry, an L-T-V engineer
from Irving, keeps his.brand new antique at Arlington
Municipal Airport, where he also keeps a Cessna. Talking
with WBAP newsman Jack Brown, Henry says he drew his
plans from photographs of the Bleriot. The project was a
refreshing change of pace for Henry, who works on the A-
a 7-Jet at L-T-V.

PUSH PLANE(SOUND UNDER) Most of the basic materials are the same as Bleriot's
plane, except for the dacron which covers the wings and
tail. Henry uses a 65 horsepower engine, 40 horses more
than Bleriot. The prop is walnut, the frame spruce, oak
ash, rock maple and African plywood. And the dashing(MORE)
