Notes

Text: "Dec. 16, 1989. Dear Dave: Cheerio: All is tolerably well at the Ohlemeyer domicile but I do have a few ailments as nearly all old foofs [sic] are supposed to have. I don't have balance when I try to stand or navigate afoot [sic] so I've developed what I call the ruptured duck shuffle. It's not much to brag about but by fair means or foul I do manage to get where I want to go. Had my yearly bout with a mother of a cold, kept me confined to the house for 3 weeks. I told Liz Worlds, my friend - over the phone, that so much water dripped out of my nose that I didn't need a peter. Not enough water left over to activate that organ. Liz had surgery on her feet correcting deformities caused by wearing pointed shoes. She will be O.K. in another 2 weeks. The 2 gray barretts [sic] you sent sure went over big but I had to get up a lotta nerve to initiate the bright red one. Some of the pool players said I looked like a pimp but the "girls" at the center liked it a lot - so much so that one of them is gonna paint my portrait wearing it. Hows that for barging in amongst the Upper Crust. Johny [sic] Bean picks me up occaisionally [sic] - we'll go visit Morris at Moon City, then pick up Monallis and have a Whataburger. Thats [sic] living high on the hog. I betcha. Adios, W. F. Ohlemeyer. 4000 Clifton Ave., El Paso, Texas, 79903."
