James, Vice President Dear Mr. James: We have completed a further recheck on long-range weather condi- tions for your areas of interest in Grimes and Fort Bend Counties through July. We are not quite ready with the August report and will send this sometime next week. Temperatures will slowly rise during the current week, reaching the upper 8O's and low 90's on most days during the last half of this week, Beginning about the 17th and through the 23rd weather distur- bances will become more active in your areas and substantial shower activity should bring I to 2 inches rain as an average through your two Counties. The most likely days with rain are the beginning and end of this interval. In late May a warm dry condition is expected in your area. JUNE, 1952 In June, the normal rainfall is about 3 1/2 inches in Fort Bend County, and near 4 inches in Grimes County. In June, 1952 we expect near normal rainfall in Fort Bend County, and 1 to 2 inches below normal rain in Grimes County. This is a similar condition to June of last season in both Fort Bend and Grimes Counties. The bulk of this rain is expected between the 4th to 7th, and, 18th to 24th. Temperatures are expected to average moderately warmer than nor- mal during June, 1952 in Fort Bend County, and moderately to much warmer than normal in Grimes County.
