Led by the Reverend Milton
Propp the group probed into the
vital questions of who owes
whom whit on this college cam-
pus In the first afternoon ses-
sion Mr Propp stales that the
duty of the administration is to
maximize oppoiumties for learn-
ing The duty of the faculty is
to be open to conversation and
convcision with his class De-
bate then centered over the
proper student-professor relation-
ship with Mr Propp saying that
a faculty incinbci cannot be a
fnend to a student The point
was largely resolved by the dis-
tinction of fraternal friendship
between equals and the friend-
ship of a lespect and academic
inteitst that should chaiactenze
the student-piofessor relation-
ship The Thuisday night showing of
Lust for Life the story of Van
Gogh piovoked two different
points of view of the meaning
of integrity
With an attack on Playboy
morality Mr Propp returned to
a whole-man view of integrity
to close the conference Charg-
ing that Playboy's refusal to pic-
ture real nudes amounted to
prudery the speaker said that
the magazine's philosophy of
recreationul sex was a he be-
cause human beings are so com-
pletely and almost mysteriously
sexual that a recreational relation-
ship could be only a detriment to
the development of persons of in-
tegrity In other words he be-
lieves that the magazine misrep-
resents womanhood and human
sexuality physically psychologic-
ally and morally

Choral Group Receives "Warm Welcome7 on Tour
By LYNN VAHNER
(As told io Richard Bauman)
'Ivo been to two county fairs
and a Mexican goat roping and
I've never seen anything like
this You folks are at the top of
the list ' said Buddy Calicot a
counselor a New Braunfels High
School
The statement was made after
the student body gave the Mc-
Murry Chanters a standing ova-
tion during their 13 day tour
across South and East Texas Of
course the compliment was the
highest one that a Texan could
give
Climaxing the annual spring
tour wa the concert that the
Chanteis presented at McMurry
Tuesday night Today the choral
group is scheduled to appear at
Abilene High School
Not knowing what to expect
on tour the Three Windjammers
only took two cases of records to
sell In New Braunfels the rec-
ords were gone before the end of
the show figuratively speaking
Buying them for a dollar some
industrious students would get
Jack Wilcox Clark Walter and
Jarrell Elliot to autograph them
and then sell the record for as
much as $2 50 to a friend
churches the religious life office
and the TMSM
He is going for the exposure
he will get to information re-
souites ind to find out about
matters not otherwise obtainable
The second reason for attend-
ing was his trying to come to a
better awareness of people in
the United States to understand
people of Southeast Asia and to
become conscious of citizenship
throughout the world
