CONGRESSMAN SOUTH
VISITS OOLDTHWAITE
Judge Chas. L. South of Cole-
man, representative in Congress
from the 21st Texas District,
which Includes Mills county, was
In Ooldthwaite recently greeting
old friends and meeting new
ones.
While here he inspected the
new post office fixtures which
he helped to secure for Gold-
thwaite.
Judge South is making a fine
record in Congress. w{jich is
probably the reason he was one
of the few members of that body
who had no opposition in the
recent primary election. One
reason for his making good Is
his first-hand acquaintance with
the problems of agriculture and
stock-raising He is a real dirt
farmer as well as a capable tur-
ist and educator. Just new he Is
concerned with saving sorghum
for forage by means of trench
silos. He has just finished build-
ing a new trench silo, and ad-
mits it was plenty hot working
in the sun.
