WALTER CONNALLY 6 COMPANY
TYLER. TEXAS.
Reply to Jake Woiters
In a sj>eech at Coleman Tt>.\
as last Saturday .lake Woiters
took occasion to arraign Hon.
Cone Johnson for having boon
on all sides of all questions af-
fecting the common people. Yes.
for several years Cone Johnson
has been practicing law and tid-
ing to make a honest living. He
has been preaching lay sermons
lecturing to young men urging
upon them the importance of a
higher standard of morals in this
country while Mr. Walters has
stood like a vulture at our capi-
tol defeating platform demands
and opi>osing every measure and
law which had for its purpose
the safeguarding of the interests
of the laboring class.
During the recent prohibition
election Mr. Johnson gave his
money and time for the adoption
of the amendment Mr. Woiters
spent large sums of money to de-
feat the amendment and refused
to open his books so the people
of Texas could see where he so
cured such vast sums. Mr.
Johnson appeared before the
legislative judiciary committee
last summer and gave out valu-
able information Mr. Woiters
said ho would rot in prison be-
fore lie would tell where lie
his money.
Mindful of his duty and im-
pelled by a strong conviction of
right Cono.Johnson unsheathed
his two edged sword of prohihi
tionary law and came into Hunt
county inarched with the army
of God preached the doctrine of
temperance indicting the saloon
as an outlaw and as a foe of the
church and an enemy of God.
He was identified with the forces
of God. the jweachers the wo-
men the teachers and many
fairminded men who were look-
ing for the welfare of the people
lie announced the doctrine that
"The welfare of the people was
the supreme law." Mr. Wel-
ters urged the people of Hunt
Coti. iy to let the saloons live an
institution that entered Ameri-
can politic; 40 years ago with
the declaration "We will sup-
port 110 party whichis unfriendly
to our traffic." Yet Colonel
Jacob prides in his democracy
at the same time he defends an
institution diametrically opposed
to the best interests of the state.
He stood for an institution that
has been driven from the trench-
es of respectibility of useful
ness and morality while Mr.
Johnson advocated temperance
and higher degree of morality
and calling upon all men to pro
tect the way where boyhood's
feet must walk and pointing to
the saloon as the enemy of civil
progress the home the church
humanity and heaven. Preach
ingthat "No drunkard shall en-
ter the kingdom of heaven."
While Col. Welters defended
the saloon the source of drunken-
ness pauperism and crime.
No doubt the Hon. Cone John-
son will be perfectly willing to
head the supgorters of prohibi-
tion and have a picture made
that the world may look on him
and his followers if the Hon.
Col. Wolters will head his crowd
and they pose for a picture to be
shown in contrast with the Hon.
Cone Johnson and his following

ARE MICROBES IN YOUR SCALP?
It Has Been Proved That Microbes
Causes Baldnee.
Professor I'nna of Hamburg
Germany and Dr. Sabourand
the leading French dermatolo
gist discovered tliat a microbe
cause.' baldness. Their theory
has time and again been amply
verified through research expo
riments carried on nnder the
observation of eminent scientist.
This microbe lodges in the Se
bum which is the natural hairi
oil and when nermittdd to nour-
ish it destroys the hair follicles
and in time the pores entirely
i close and the scalp gradually
takes a shiny appearance.
When this happens there is no
hope of the groweth of hair re
vived.
We have a remedy which will
we honestly believe remove dan
druff exterminate the microbe
promote good circulation in the
scalp and around the hair roots
and overcome baldness so long
as there is any life left in the
hair roots.
We back up this statement
with our own personsl guarentee
that this remedy called Kexall
''93" Hair Tonic will be supplied
free of all cost to the user if it
fails to do as we state.
It will frequently help to re
store gray and faded hair to its
original color providing loss of
color has been caused by disease;
yet it is in no sense a dye. Hex-
all "9:!" Hair Tonic accomplish) s
these results by aiding in mak«
ing every hair root follicle and
pigment gland strong and active
and by stimulating a natural
flow of coloring pigment through
out the hair cells.
We exact no obligations or
promises we simply ask you to
give Rexall "9iJ" Hair Tonic a
through trial and if not satisfied
tell lis and we will refund the
money you paid us for it. Two
sizes; prices 50c and $1.00. lie-
member you can obtain it only
at our store The Rexall Store.
