F-16 ACTIVITIES
Flight Status and Delivered Aircraft
The first class of student pilots to get their
wings in F-16s graduated this month. All F-16
pilots up to this point received their wings in
other aircraft. All pilots adapted well to the
F-16 and had absolutely no problems caused by
inexperience in the high-performance aircraft.
Five F-16s were ferried to Israel this month by
way of Pease Air Force Base and Aviano,
Italy.
Hill AFB has been selected as the AMRAAM
test site. New facilities will soon be construc-
ted to accommodate the test aircraft, which
will consist of six F-l Is and eight F-16s.
The 24 F-16s of the 4th Tactical Fighter Wing
recently flew 62 sorties in one day.
Block 10 aircraft are moving into field opera-
tions on schedule. The changes in Block 10
aircraft include improved fire control radar,
stores management, and flight control.Total
