DEAR SIS:-
I'll bet they are keeping you busy
these days finishing your senior year.
I just know you will master the task.
Those last minute problems certainly
keep one on the go, don't they?
We are having last minute problems
o. The whole fleet seems to be in a rush
get things done before we leave. It
is quite an undertaking to prepare all
these ships for the east coast cruise. And
it is no small problem to get the families
ready.
I have no family, but there are so
many people I want to see before leaving.
This might well be called "farewell
week." Friends will part not to meet a-
gain for months, even years, and some
not at all. I sincerely hope that I meet
all of my friends again and I wish them
the best of luck.
You know sis, life is strange that way.
We learn to love someone with all our
hearts and then we have to go our ways.
Still, it is true to nature, I guess. Just
like two clouds floating along together
as though they were devoted friends. A
* dden change comes and they part. They
ay change a lot before they meet again,
but it is nice to know that they do meet.
It looks as though we are going to
have ice cream while we are at sea in
the tropics. I notice they are installing
an ice cream machine near the soda foun-
tain.
I have a suit of blues to wash, sis. So
I had better get busy. I will be looking
for a letter from you.
Love to all at home,
BUDDY.
